Today is Thanksgiving here in the US. A time where we are to stop and think about the things we are thankful for. Oh, and gorge ourselves on food. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m thankful for so very many things in my life right now (in no particular order):

  • A family (both blood and chosen) that supports and loves me
  • A spiritual family where I’m free to grow and learn
  • Friends who are there through it all: good, bad, ugly, pretty, and fun
  • The ability to pursue my craft and my art as my business
  • The love of a great man in my life (and his most awesome son)
  • My health, because even on the really bad days, I’m still here and still able to move on my own
  • You, my customers and fans, who have given me reason to keep going and keep doing this

So, with that last one in mind, I want to give you a token of my thanks. Now through Tuesday, November 29 at midnight on the east coast, you can save 25% on your pattern purchases over in my pattern store using coupon code THANKS. There’s a lot of accessory patterns that make great gifts if you’re looking for small items to make for those on your gift list.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend. Don’t eat too much and remember to support small businesses in your holiday shopping. ๐Ÿ™‚

You get the presents!

Tomorrow is my birthday. But I wanted to share presents with you!

If you go to my Ravelry page (you don’t have to be signed in or a member to see that page), you can purchase any of my designs and get 10% off with using coupon code MYBDAY.

This promotion goes on now until Monday, November 7th, so take advantage of it if you wanted any of my independent designs. ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! There will be a more insightful post on Monday about what this next year in my life.

New pattern: Circling Accent Pillow

I do a lot of work for Coats and Clark (if y’all couldn’t tell) and sometimes I don’t know when a design I’ve done is going to be available to show you. A month ago or so, I got my copy of the catalog for the Aunt Lydia thread collection and saw two new patterns I’ve done for them in the catalog. The one (Square on Square Table Runner) was posted pretty quickly and I was able to share that with you right away. The other, I had to wait on.

Now, it’s not that I obsessively stalk their site to see when my designs will be posted. Having it as a bookmark on my computer is not stalking. ๐Ÿ™‚

But, my persistence paid off yesterday when I found that the Circling Accent Pillow had been posted. (Here’s the Ravelry link)

I love the way this turned out and how easily it can be customized for your home or any pillow. It’s also the perfect project for summer since all the motifs are made first and it’s in thread. We used four colors (one variegated and three coordinating colors), but I could also see this being made using up leftover thread from other projects. The sample is on a 20″ silk pillow, but you can easily make it for larger or smaller pillows by adding or taking out rows of motifs.

I hope you’ll enjoy this pattern and I can’t wait to see how you customize it for your home.

Also, a few housekeeping things:

1. Next week, I’ll be a stop on Ellen Gormley’s blog tour for her new book. I can’t wait to share this book with y’all. It’s awesome.

2. Late next week I’ll be heading to Columbus, OH for TNNA (a trade show), so I may not post the following week until later.

3. There is a sale going on until June 3rd…spend $10 in patterns and get 10% off the purchase. You need to go through my Ravelry page, but you can do that without signing up to Rav (but seriously, do that already!)….Ravelry page.

Have a wonderful week everyone!

Spring Sale

In case you didn’t see my Twitter posts (or the post on the Facebook page), I’m having a spring sale!

If you buy two patterns you get one free!

Now, to do this, you’ll need to go here to my Ravelry page (don’t worry if you’re not signed up for Rav, you can see this page regardless), add the three patterns you want to your cart, and then when you check out, the lowest priced pattern will be free.

This goes on until April 23, so don’t miss your chance!

Other things I’m working on?

* Working on a new wrap pattern that will be perfect for proms, weddings, and any other time you want to feel special. This will go out on the Fibers By Tracie line, hopefully in May. The yarn is delightful and sparkly.

* Finishing up class lesson plans and handouts for the Knit and Crochet Show in Minnesota this July. Want to take one of my classes? You can sign up and register for the show here.

* Working on another design for the CGOA design competition in September. It’s turning out just as I saw it in my head and I’m super excited about it. I can’t show any pictures in case the judges read my blog, but once the competition is over, I’ll either publish it in the FBT line or it may get picked up by another publisher. This will determine when I can show pics of it. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ll keep you posted.

That’s all for me for now. As you can see, it’s a busy time here. ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a wonderful week everyone!
