Quick ONS update

I’m home and I’m exhausted. I’m not going to be online much today. It was a fun weekend with friends. The show itself? Eh. The class with Lily rocked. It was worth the whole thing. But I was a bit disappointed with the booths just ’cause there weren’t many yarn vendors. Oh well. I did manage to procure a lot of things. This will be your picture tour into that. 🙂

The whole haul:

Lily Chin autographed my copy of her book!

I wandered through the vendors on Friday and picked up this sock yarn for $15 (80% wool/20% nylon…hand dyed…machine washable):

Friday night included a lot of drinking and hanging out by the fire with dear friends. Saturday we got up and went to breakfast while John was on his way to come up and join us. So we went back to the show.

We found a booth with spools of rayon. Unknown yardage, but I do know it’s rayon. But it’s a full skein (shown with a Clover soft touch hook to help with size):

On Friday I picked up a light up crochet hook at the CGOA booth. They were giving them away to members and those who signed up at the show. On Saturday I took Kerry there to get a hook for herself. She had 2 left so she gave me another one, too. And a pack of batteries:

I also picked up two magazines for free (Crochet World and Creative Knitting):

After we left the show, we went to Sip n’ Knit in Maitland. I picked up some Alpaca Sox (60% alpaca, 20% merino wool, 20% nylon…450 yards):

John got his first yarn store purchase for a project he wants to make and a book. 🙂

It was a fun exhausting weekend. No, I didn’t finish the sweater (although I am on the last sleeve). I was smart and when the drinking started Friday night, the crocheting stopped. Friends don’t let friends crochet drunk. 🙂

Okay, that’s all from me. I’m going to go get some more coffee and lay down or something. I’m better from the cold, but my body is now not happy with me for the driving, sleeping on strange beds, staying up too late, drinking and eating too much.
